Research Projects

"Funding Researcher Investigating Biogeochemical Cycling in Snow and Ice Covered Environments"
Dr. Melissa Lafrenière has been awarded grants from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) New Opportunities program and the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation in support of her Cold Regions Biogeochemical Research program. The funding will be used to establish an analytical laboratory for the measurement and characterization of inorganic and organic chemistry of solutes in dilute waters, and to purchase field equipment and instrumentation for recording and measuring meteorological and hydrological conditions in alpine and arctic environments.
